About Me

Who’s The News Yogi?

Morning news anchor, Leslie Rangel, is the soul behind The News Yogi. After nearly 10 years in the news industry and more than 10 years practicing yoga, she’s seen the benefits yoga and community have on mental wellness. 

Now she’s on a mission to help fellow newsies build their own yogic practice and end the journalism stigma of “getting over it” because it’s “part of the job.” Through yoga and community we can begin to live more joyous lives and more fulfilling careers. 

Leslie is a 500 hour registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Leslie is trained in trauma-informed yoga and meditation. She’s also currently studying Advanced Yoga Psychology with a licensed psychotherapist and yoga/meditation teacher.
